K–3 Program

At HVFS, children learn in a dynamic environment that combines strong academics with meaningful outdoor exploration and play. Our balanced approach supports whole-child development in a way that traditional models often can’t. With flexible scheduling, we aim to make this enriching experience accessible and affordable for all families.

Program Hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Based on a $60/Daily Rate

  • 1 Day per Week:

    • $240 per month

    • $2,500 total annual tuition (includes $100 registration/supply fee)

  • 2 Days per Week:

    • $480 per month

    • $4,900 total annual tuition

  • 3 Days per Week:

    • $720 per month

    • $7,300 total annual tuition

  • 4 Days per Week:

    • $960 per month

    • $9,700 total annual tuition

Aftercare

Ages 5–11
Monday–Thursday | 3:00–5:30 p.m.

HVFS Aftercare offers a warm, enriching end to your child’s school day. Children have the opportunity to unwind through outdoor play, nature exploration, fort-building, crafts, books, and other calm indoor activities in our cozy schoolhouse.

This is a space where children can relax, reconnect with nature, and recharge after the school day—whether they are full of energy or ready for a quieter afternoon.

2025–2026 Aftercare Tuition

Aftercare is billed as a fixed monthly tuition based on your selected schedule.

Drop-in Aftercare
Drop-in aftercare is available for pre-registered families at $25/day, as space allows.

For the upcoming school year, aftercare will continue as a fixed monthly tuition based on your selected schedule:

Drop-in aftercare will remain $25/day.

Transportation Information

Brownsville Elementary Students

Students attending Brownsville Elementary can take the school bus directly to HVFS, with drop-off at our location after school (with an approved Alternate Bus Stop Request Form).

Because transportation is provided through the school bus system, there is no additional transportation fee for Brownsville students.

Crozet Elementary Students

Crozet Elementary does not offer a bus route to HVFS. For this reason, HVFS staff provides pick-up directly from Crozet Elementary for aftercare students.

An additional $2.50/day per child transportation fee will be applied based on your child’s scheduled aftercare days.

Flexible Scheduling

Families may choose the days that work best for them based on availability. We are happy to work with families to create a schedule that fits their needs.
