At Hidden Valley Forest School, children learn in a dynamic environment that combines strong academics with meaningful outdoor exploration and play. Our balanced approach supports the whole child in ways that traditional classroom models often cannot. With flexible scheduling, families can choose the days that best meet their needs while giving their children an enriching educational experience.

Monday–Friday | 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Tuition is based on a $60 daily rate. Annual tuition includes $100 registration/supply fee.

Aftercare

Ages 5–11
Monday–Thursday | 2:40 – 5:00 p.m.

HVFS Aftercare provides a relaxed, enriching end to your child's school day. Children have the opportunity to unwind through outdoor play, nature exploration, fort-building, crafts, books, games, and other engaging activities in a warm, supportive environment. Whether they are ready to burn off energy outdoors or enjoy a quieter afternoon with friends, aftercare offers a safe and welcoming space to end the day.

2026–2027 Aftercare Tuition

Aftercare is billed as a fixed monthly tuition based on your selected schedule.

Transportation Information

Brownsville Elementary Students

Students attending Brownsville Elementary may ride the school bus directly to HVFS using an approved Alternate Bus Stop Request Form.Because transportation is provided through Albemarle County Public Schools, there is no additional transportation fee for Brownsville students.

Crozet Elementary Students

Crozet Elementary does not offer a bus route to HVFS. For this reason, HVFS staff provides transportation directly from Crozet Elementary to our aftercare program.An additional $2.50 per scheduled aftercare day, per child is added for Crozet Elementary transportation.

Families may choose the days that work best for their schedules, subject to availability. We are happy to work with each family to create a schedule that meets their needs.
