At Hidden Valley, we follow a natural rhythm that reflects the different seasons of the year and children’s needs and interests. While our rhythm is predictable, offering children the stability they need to thrive in, there is a lot of freedom within that rhythm. Children are always invited to participate in activities, never forced. All efforts are made to support children in their interests during play and exploration. The schedule below is flexible and may vary depending on how the day is flowing and the children are feeling.

Daily Rhythm (Pre-K) - Spring Session 2024

9:00AM-9:15AM: Drop-off at Grassy Area

9:15AM-AM: 9:45Morning Meeting

9:45AM-11:30AM: Hike & Nature Exploration/Snack time

11:30AM-12:00PM: Lunch and Storytime

12:00PM-1:00PM: Grassy Area Play Time

1:00PM-1:15PM: Popsicles & Storytime

1:15PM-1:30PM: Sit Spots

1:30PM-2:00PM: Indoor Exploration at the Cottage

2:00PM: Pick-up at the Moon Gate or Cottage

Note: We move A LOT, all day, in all weather. Clothes that allow enough room for movement and a nutrient-dense lunch and snack, with no processed sugar, is required.
